Overview

Develop your ability to create, facilitate and assess small group training interventions. If you complete the Evidence Portfolio you will receive a Statement of Attainment in the following Units of Competency:

Module 1 - Provide Training

TAADEL301A - Provide training through instruction & demonstration of work skills
This unit specifies the competency required to conduct individual and group instruction and demonstration of work skills.

Module 2 - Assessment

TAAASS401A - Plan & organise assessment
This unit specifies the competence required to plan and organise the assessment process in a competency-based assessment system

  3. Contextualise and review assessment plan
  4. Organise assessment arrangements
TAAASS402A - Access competence
This unit specifies the competence required to assess the competence of a candidate

  1. Establish and maintain the assessment environment
  2. Gather quality evidence
  3. Support the candidate
  4. Make the assessment decision
  5. Record and report the assessment decision
  6. Review the assessment process
TAAASS403A - Develop assessment tools
This unit specifies the competence required to develop assessment tools

Performance Criteria
  1. Determine the focus of the assessment tool

  4. Review and trial assessment tools
TAAAAA404A Participant in assessment validation
This unit specifies the competence required to participate in an assessment validation process.

Audience

This qualification is ideally suited to people who are training and assessing people competency in a workplace/industry related environment.

Majority of assessment work is completed in class.

Course Objectives

To provide frontline managers with critical skills in planning, preparing, delivering, assessing and improving small-group training interventions. This know-how is core to organisational success given the effectiveness of such training in adult learning situations. Managers will learn the latest delivery methodologies and how to create effective training materials to overcome learning barriers such as negative inertia.
