Overview
This two-day instructor led course is designed for the IT resource within a small business that
is regarded as the "IT Administrator"
The Course objective is to teach the basic features and administering and SBS 2003 to
ensure the company is more self sufficient with its own network
Students are provided with hands on instruction, labs and a comprehensive Microsoft Official
Curriculum.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students should have:
- Experience using Microsoft Office as a general user.
- Experience using a Microsoft Windows operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP.
Course Outline
Module 1: Learn how to perform following tasks on a Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 Network
- Add users & Printers
- Administer security of the network
- Configure a shared fax , from the PC desktop
- Configure remote access capabilities
- Access your own desktop via the internet
- Add licenses of SBS to the network

Module 2: Creating & Administering E-mail with SBS 2003
- Configure and access web mail
- Create distribution groups in Outlook
- SharePoint services – create and manage own intranet site
- Reporting capabilities – Internet usage, Email alerts
- SBS internal back up procedures.
