Competitive Manufacturing
Overview
The Manufacturing Training Package (MSA07) has been developed to assist the manufacturing
industry in improving their practices through effective vocational education and training.
The following Nationally recognised qualifications are now available covering a broad range
of modern manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement skills, making them accessible
to all Australian manufacturing organisations.
Forsythes provides a combination of theory led and shop based mentoring sessions to clients
rolling out business improvement initiatives. Competency based training and assessment offers
the dual effect of delivering significant business outcomes while developing staff with
enhanced knowledge and skills, this assisting with the generation of business improvement
results.
The competitive manufacturing training package integrates into its units of competency, many
Lean and Six Sigma methodologies such as: Value Stream Mapping, 5S and Visual Controls, TPM,
JIT, Mistake Proofing, Root Cause Analysis, Variance Reduction and Change Management. The
training also includes units covering project implementation, leadership skills and participation
in actual improvement projects.
Forsythes works in consultation with our clients to tailor a training program encompassing
relevant units of competency to match their company specific goals and deliver improved
business performance.
Who should attend
Certificates III and IV are predominantly targeted at team leaders and line supervisors tasked
with contributing to change programs and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at delivering
improved yield, quality, service delivery and costs management.
Cost
Price will contingent upon the number of staff to be trained, level of training to be undertaken,
facilities available in your workplace where the training will be conducted and the time frames
for which the training is to occur.
Government Funding
Organisations may be eligible for government subsidies for these Competitive Manufacturing training
courses and traineeships. Details of funding and eligibility can be discussed with your local
Australian Apprenticeships Centre. Forsythes can assist in this regard by putting you in contact
with the necessary persons.
