Remote Networking Monitoring & Management Service (MMS)
Forsythes IT provides a proactive monitoring, management and remote support service for customer servers or workstations. This is delivered using a range of industry leading technologies deployed and controlled from the Forsythes IT data centre.
This service includes providing regular software updates for the servers and automated remote server monitoring from our data centre. We have visibility to all monitored devices which can alert us a faults before or as they occur. The remote control technology included gives our engineers high visibility to your system and also provides tools required to quickly rectify issues remotely.
System performance is continually monitored and reported using a secure encrypted Internet connection to the monitoring service. Checks performed include server performance & storage capacity, system event logs & exceptions reported. The operating system is checked for functionality and any relevant service packs, updates or hot fixes that have become available can be remotely deployed. Status of Antivirus updates are checked to ensure complete network protection is in place. Checks of backup status is also included. A comprehensive periodic report is prepared and issued electronically. Software deployment can also be reported if all workstations and servers are monitored using this service.
An engineer can still attend site once per month or at agreed interval (or teleconference) in adition to this service but instead of focusing on spending time performing updates and other server work can help you interpret the results of the service reports produced including highlighting issues that may need addressing. This service helps to reduce the amount of engineering time normally spent performing updates and onsite server management.
This service is available for a monthly fee starting at $100 ex gst and is calculated based on the number of servers.
